Laura Brand
Partner and Co-Founder
Laura Brand is the co-founder of BioMinds Advisors and brings over 25 years of advising and operating experience in the Life Sciences sector. Laura is a results-oriented senior pharmaceutical executive with a demonstrated record of success in global P&L management, growth strategy, marketing and brand management, partnership management, sales leadership, internal operations / resource realignment, and full-lifecycle product management.
Laura spent a decade at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) focused primarily on driving commercial success in the Life Sciences industry. She spent the next eleven years at Amgen in a variety of marketing leadership and sales management roles with increasing responsibility, including leading innovative oncology therapeutic brands and serving as the Global Commercial Lead for Amgen’s biosimilars portfolio. Prior to co-founding BioMinds Advisors, Laura served as the Global General Manager of the medical and pharmaceutical business at Celanese, where she oversaw the medical device, orthopedic implant and long-acting dosage pharmaceutical businesses. Laura is an innovative business partner with a history of growing businesses and delivering consistent, measurable financial results.
Laura holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business in Marketing and Operations and a B.A. in History and Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.
